The Kansas City Health Equity Learning and Action Network brings together the region’s health care ecosystem to collectively engage in a shared journey and address the factors that lead to inequalities in health access, treatment, and outcomes. The effort is a partnership between The Health Forward Foundation, the KC Health Collaborative, and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. Together, they will present the process, progress, and outcomes of The KC Health Equity Learning and Action Network, covering the planning phase in fall of 2021, the learning phase, starting in January of 2022, and the action phase from mid-2022 into 2024. The organizations have recruited 50 organizations to join in this work and currently have fifteen teams working on projects within their own organizations to expose systemic racism and inequities.
