Description
Critical partnerships are forming to provide real-time, life-saving data from HIEs to Emergency Medical Service providers and crisis network workers. During this 90-minute virtual preconference we will hear from Civitas members and partners about breaking down data barriers, increasing interoperability across previously siloed systems, and equipping community partners responding to emergencies and crisis with the right information at the right time.
From changing data formats and workflows, increasing data standards, and including community partners in designing solutions that use EMS data to better understand health disparities, this event will showcase how communities throughout the country are leveraging HIE infrastructure and building trusted relationships between health care, community service providers, and public health to better respond to people in need. Featured presentations include Contexture, Florida’s Emergency Patient Look Up Service (E-Plus), Center for Health Research Transformation, The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the Interoperability Institute (IOI).
