Learn about the New Mexico Behavioral Health Data Collection Project, an initiative of the New Mexico Behavioral Health Provider Association (NMBHPA) with funding from the Behavioral Health Services Division (BHSD) of the NM Human Services Department (HSD). The BH project is supported by SYNCRONYS, the State of New Mexico’s designated health information exchange (HIE), and two of its strategic partners, Orion Health and HBI Solutions. The NMBHPA is supported by Health Management Associates to guide the Behavioral Health Clinics to transform their practices. Presenters will highlight the approach and outcomes, including how strategic partnerships and collaboration supported this project; managed 42 CFR Part 2 consent, how the provider-driven metrics were developed and the resulting metrics; the BH dashboard for reporting and analyzing data; uses of the quality metrics and the training provided to the pilot sites around how to use the data to improve patient outcomes and transform their practices.
