Description
The Consortium for State and Regional Interoperability (CSRI) has a vision that every state in the nation should have an HDU. There is a clear continuum on which all states appear somewhere between no HDU and robust HDU. There is white space (no HDU) and gray space (some HDU but should be stronger). CSRI is committed to being a part of the answer to the question: what can be done to fill the gaps?
Presentation Learning Objectives
1). Understand current state of HDUs in the US. We'll illustrate where and why there are gaps
2). Demonstrate opportunities to fill the white space and gray space with more robust HDUs. We'll discuss strategies that states can employ.
3). Learn about developing and ongoing tactics that CSRI and Civitas are involved in.
