Description

In 2024, NIH’s All of Us program selected three pilot sites – an HIE, a health system, and a network of providers – to test individually authorized data sharing for its database of 840K participants who voluntarily provide their data for research. Learn how the sites developed the capability to support the Access Consent Policy workflow, commonly used for authorization-driven use cases outside of Treatment, Payment, and Operations, and the promising pilot outcomes.

Presentation Learning Objectives
1). Understand NIH’s All of Us program and how it supports diverse research needs for the advancement of precision medicine. Attendees will learn about this database and how it supports precision medicine.
2). Understand the Access Consent Policy workflow between pilot sites, eHealth Exchange, and All of Us. Attendees will understand how the ACP was architected for the pilot sites.
3). Discover lessons learned from the pilot. Attendees will understand some of the challenges and lessons learned in the ACP pilot to facilitate real-time exchange.
