Description

Communities have been learning a lot over recent years about the challenges of scaling successful Community Information Exchanges (CIEs) and Community Referral Networks (CRNs). This session will explore challenges including the CBO value proposition, why interoperability isn’t working for local service providers, and how to align HIEs and CIEs for better community outcomes. This session will discuss new research and stakeholder feedback to give participants a better understanding of these issues to inform the development of better solutions.

Presentation Learning Objectives
1) Attendees will identify challenges faced by Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) in navigating competing referral platforms.
2) Attendees will gain an understanding of why interoperability isn’t working for CBOs and what better solutions might look like.
3) Attendees will explore new opportunities for effective CIE/HIE partnership and collaboration.
