Description
This session will outline how MetaStar, a non-profit Quality Improvement Organization, and WISHIN, a state Health Information Exchange, have formed partnerships aligned with their shared member organizations and missions to improve behavioral health care in Wisconsin. The second half of the session will include an interactive tabletop exercise to discuss potential strategies that QIOs and HIEs can work on collectively as well as independently to improve behavioral health care in communities they serve.
Presentation Learning Objectives
1) Understand how natural partnerships between a QIO and HIE can improve behavioral health care, and how a local landscape has informed the progress.
2) Explore strategies that QIOs and HIEs and their members can consider to improve behavioral health care, both collectively and individually.
