Description

his workshop will provide a comprehensive look at the challenges and solutions for sharing sensitive behavioral health and SUD treatment information in compliance with 42 CFR Part 2. The session will explore the critical role of patient consent as the foundation for the exchange of sensitive data, focusing on strategies that balance patient privacy with the need for data availability for treatment, payment, and operations (TPO).

Attendees will learn about policy alignment, technology, and workflow integration necessary to effectively operationalize consent models that provide this balance. The workshop will also highlight innovative approaches and real-world examples, including the implementation of successful cross-sector partnerships and technical assistance initiatives. The final goal is to equip participants with the knowledge to build and maintain trust among stakeholders and implement replicable models for compliant, large-scale data sharing.
